Accessibility Statement
Everybody should be able to shop here. On the site and in the showroom. We are working on it, and we mean it.
What we are aiming for
We are working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA — the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C, and the standard most of the web measures itself against.
We are not going to claim we are perfect, because that would not be true and you would find out. A website changes every week. Products go up, photos get swapped, apps get added. Accessibility is maintenance, not a finish line. This is a good-faith, ongoing effort and we treat it that way.
What we are doing about it
- Keeping text readable against its background at the contrast levels AA requires
- Writing real alt text on product photos, so a screen reader describes the sofa instead of reading a filename
- Making the site work with a keyboard alone, without a mouse
- Labeling every form field properly
- Using headings in real order, so the page structure makes sense out loud
- Making sure buttons and links say where they go
- Checking new pages and products before we publish them
The parts we do not control
Some pieces of this site come from outside tools — checkout, the financing application, review widgets, embedded apps. We do not write their code and we cannot fix it directly.
What we can do is choose vendors carefully and push them when something does not work. If you hit a wall in one of those, tell us anyway. We will report it, and we will find another way to get you what you need in the meantime.
The showroom
Our showroom is at Crossroads Center Mall in St. Cloud.
If you would like a hand while you shop, call ahead. Someone will meet you at the door and walk the floor with you — pull pieces over, read tags out loud, bring swatches to you instead of the other way around. Just ask. It is not a special favor, it is the job.
Tell us when something does not work
This is the most useful thing on the page. If a page will not read right, a button will not take a keyboard, or something is just impossible to use — tell us. A real problem on a real page is worth more than any audit.
- Phone: (320) 316-2665
- Or use our contact page
Tell us the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened. If you use a screen reader or other assistive tech, naming it helps us reproduce the problem.
We will get back to you and tell you what we are doing about it. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will get you what you need another way — over the phone, by email, or in person at the showroom. Nobody should lose out on a chair because of a broken button.
