The Details
Hand-built from solid pine logs, drawknifed by hand so every bunk has its own rustic character. Mortise-and-tenon joinery, glued and screwed for strength, with side rails that bolt into metal inserts that won't strip out. Ladders are built into both ends, and the bed meets the entrapment safety standard. Built to hold kids as well as adults. We recommend 9-10″ mattresses for all bunk beds.
Underbed options:
- None — the standard log bunk, open underneath.
- Roll-Out Trundle — complete package: the bunk raised for trundle clearance, a roll-out twin trundle that pushes back under the lower bunk when not in use, and a trundle board to hide the trundle and mattress. The twin trundle fits under any size bunk.
- 2 Storage Drawers — complete package: the bunk raised for drawer clearance, plus two large drawers under the bottom bunk for clothes and blankets. The drawer unit is freestanding, separate from the bunk itself.
Trundle and drawers use the same space under the bottom bunk, so they are alternatives — not both at once.
